200-bed New Wing Inaugurated at Jamalpur General Hospital

Health Minister inaugurated the new 200-bed patient wing at Jamalpur General Hospital in a ceremony attended by local MPs, district officials, and medical staff. The new building, constructed at a cost of ৳8.5 crore, features a modern ICU with 20 beds, a specialized pediatric ward, an upgraded maternity section, and a new diagnostic center equipped with CT scan and MRI facilities. "This is a historic day for the people of Jamalpur," said the District Commissioner. "Patients no longer need to travel to Dhaka or Mymensingh for many specialized treatments." The total bed count at Jamalpur General Hospital now stands at 450, making it the largest healthcare facility in the district.
